To Reconstruct Belief Is for a Reconstructed Belief

新世纪中华民族的文化建设需要个体意识的觉醒,而其中曾被我们忽略而又最关键的是信仰的重建。针对商品意识、务实心态和权力崇拜的现实,我们的文化建设在信仰的倡导上,应该是对真善美的本能式和无条件的信仰,为此的美学选择策略就应该是"为天地立心"和"为生民立命",进而才能谈到"为往圣继绝学"和"为万世开太平"。

The cultural construction in China in the new century needs the awakening of individual consciousness among which the most important but always ignored by us is the reconstruction of belief. Since we are in a times featured by commodity, pragmatic mood and power pursuit, the belief we proposed for our cultural construction is an instinct and unconditional belief in truth, goodness and beauty. In this sense, our aesthetic choice is to set principles for universe and speak for ordinary people, and only by then can we 'inherit what the masters in history established' and 'open up peaceful times for our descendants for thousands of years'.
