Ambidextrous Innovation and Firm Performance:The Mediating Role of Resource Bricolage

摘要从资源支持的角度,考察资源拼凑活动在双元创新战略(探索式创新和利用式创新)与企业绩效之间所扮演的关键中介作用。基于288份企业调查问卷的分析表明,探索式创新驱动企业进行资源拼凑,发掘现有资源的"新服务",产生基于资源的新知识和新使用属性;同时,利用式创新也促使企业对手边资源进行"创造性重组",发现既有资源的潜在协同性,提高资源的使用效率。通过上述渠道,资源拼凑帮助企业从探索式创新和利用式创新中获益,在双元创新与企业绩效之间起完全中介作用。 In the view of resource support,this study focuses on the role of bricolage as a mediating construct between ambidextrous innovation and firm performance.Results from 288 firm level questionnaires indicate that the process of bricolage not only creates exploratory new service from handy resources,but also makes fully exploitative recombination of existing resource.By doing so,bricolage enables firms to capitalize benefits of both exploration and exploitation innovation,and plays a mediating role between ambidextrous innovation and firm performance.
