New media technology has an extensive influence on higher education. The development of new media technology and the internationalization trend of higher education together bring many new changes to the internationalization of higher education and meanwhile bring great challenges to the talents cultivation pattern of higher maritime education. The educational concept, teaching approach, and the education quality are the three important issues in the international development process of higher maritime education and they need a new arrangement. To promote the internationalization of higher maritime education, we should review the pros and cons of new media technology, and pay attention to the monitoring of the education quality.
