Response-strategy adjustments include proactive response-strategy adjustments and reactive response-strategy adjustments in the process of response inhibition. The theoretical interpretation of proactive response-strategy adjustments mainly comprise proactiveadjustment hypothesis, dual-task-requirements hypothesis, delayed-responding hypothesis, and response-suppression hypothesis; the theoretical interpretation of reactive response-strategy adjustments mainly comprise the goal priority hypothesis, the memory hypothesis, the response conflict hypothesis, and the error detection hypothesis.
