A Study on Incommensurability in Signaling Games

Thomas Kuhn＇s ＂linguistic turn＂ creates a possibility of researching Kuhn＇s thesis of incommensurability from a perspective of game theory,shifting from the incommensurability between paradigms to the local untranslatability between scientific languages. By analogy with the untranslatabil-ity between primary term languages in signaling games, Jeffrey A. Barrett argues how it is possible that the incommensurability between scientific lan-guages might evolve. However, our analysis shows that the complex of scientific practice extremely limits the power of the analogical arguments from these signaling models.
