Media, especially the modern mass media, become directly involved in the construction of an open society, and lead to fractures between different generations where social relations used to be solidified. In today's Internet Age, the most obvious representation of intergenerational gap is the dividing between the "digital immigrants" and "digital natives". These two generations show differeces in the methods of information retrieval, quantity of accesses, and quality of usage among thousands of people, namely the so-called "digital divide". Such a generation gap will naturally exert inmeasurable influence on these generations' values, life attitudes, vision, ability to participate and even the opportunity of survival, thus become vital social factors for cultural return.
