In September 2012 through January 2013, Cultural Relics Bureau of Linzi District, Zibo City excavated three earthen pit tombs of the Warring-States Period with piled stone and wooden chambers in -shaped plan at the Fanjia Mudi (Cemetery of the Fan Family) in the east of Linzi District, Zibo City. These three tombs were arranged in a line from east to west, but their orientations were different. Each tomb had six or seven attendant tombs surrounding the coffin chamber, and the storage pit in M175 was well preserved. The grave goods unearthed from these tombs included pottery wares, bronzes, jades, crystal and agate objects, stone and bone implements, ivory objects, etc. The burial style and the assemblage and features of grave goods all showed that the dates of these three tombs were all the early Warring-States Period and their occupants were the highranking aristocrats of the Qi State, and the occupants of the attendant tombs would be the favored concubines or maids of these high-ranking aristocrats serving them in the afterworld.
