Inaccuracy of a translation text may cause ambiguity and uncertainty which may lead to commercial losses or disputes. Hence accuracy is quite critical to the translation of business contract. This paper aims to discuss the basic rules and techniques applicable to the translation of this special genre into Chinese through the comparison of the linguistic features of English and Chinese business contract on lexical and syntactical level.
