India's Science and Technology Cooperation with Africa: Main Foci, Mechanism and Strategical Orientation

印非双方长期在能源、医疗卫生、农业生产、信息通讯及教育培训等领域开展合作,并已初步形成了一个政府统筹主导下,双边合作与多边合作共同发展,企业与非政府组织联动参与的对非科技合作机制网络。通过对印非科技合作重点领域与运行机制的考察,不难看出,能源和市场需求、地缘战略、大国角逐是印度强化对非科技关系的现实动力。

Thanks to its long-time effort for a stronger science and technology cooperation with Africa, major cooperation developments in energy, medical treatment and public health, agriculture, tele-communication, education and training, etc, has been achieved. A preliminary network of science and technology cooperation mechanisms, covering coordination of governments,engagement of enterprises and NGOs, a synergy of bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation, has been formulated. This enhanced science and technology cooperation is driven by energy and market demand, geo-strategy and rivalry with other great powers.
