A Comparative Study on Cultural Connotation of Zhuang and Thai Plant Proverbs

作为"同根异枝"民族,壮泰两族植物谚语的文化内涵可说是同中有异、异中有同。究其原因,壮泰两族共有的稻作文化造就了其相似性,而地理环境、宗教信仰的不同又导致了其差异性。

Plant proverbs truly reflect the cultural connotation of farming, food, religious beliefs and values of Zhuang and Thai, which covers two aspects of the cultural system, namely material and spirit. The cultural connotation of Zhuang and Thai plant proverbs share some similarities as well as some differences, which is due to the fact that Zhuang and Thai are similar in farming culture and value orientation, and different in geographical environment and religious believes.
