Growing Up with Peking Opera

走进校园,可以感受到浓浓的京剧艺术氛围。学生制作的京剧脸谱艺术品摆放在楼道的展架上,参加各种展演获奖学生的带妆彩照悬挂在走廊两侧,京剧知识展板随处可见,学生们每天都浸润在这种京剧艺术的环境之中。值得一提的是,建设新校时还特意增设了按生、旦、净、丑分设的训练室,以此确保京剧各行当学习训练的效果。

In Jinan,there is a school characterized by 'carrying forward Peking Opera art;inheriting the national culture'.People in this school have brought Peking Opera- the quintessence of Chinese culture — to the campus for over a decade.This school is Jinan Weishilu Elementary School.To ensure effective teaching,the school developed the school-based course of Peking Opera art,which is provided through textbooks,teaching plans,teachers and lesson periods.This has enabled Peking Opera to become the most characteristic schoolbased course in this school.The facial makeup artworks of Peking Opera are placed on the display racks in the corridors;the color photos of awardwinning students with makeup who participated in various performances are hanging on both sides of corridors;the display boards of Peking Opera knowledge can be seen everywhere.The students are in the environment of Peking Opera art everyday.Another feature of the 'Peking Opera into Campus' school-based course carried out by Weishilu Elementary School is working closely with Jinan Peking Opera Theatre.The students of Weishilu Elementary School have made good achievements time and again in national competitions.
