This paper introduced the definition and characteristics of building self thermal insulation block,according to the main factors influence of its thermal insulation,from increasing the thickness of insulation block,mixing with lightweight aggregate,filling efficient insulation materials and other aspects,proposed corresponding improvement measures,pointed out that the building self thermal insulation block had excellent comprehensive properties,application prospect was very broad.
