中、泰两国是友好的近邻。自1975年7月两国建立外交关系以来,双边贸易额趋于不断增长,到2000年达到66.24亿美元。中国已成为泰国重要的贸易伙伴。展望21世纪初期双方贸易将会呈现崭新的面貌,2010年贸易额预期比2000年翻一番,工业品居于双边贸易的主导地位,中国在泰国外贸国别的位序可跃居前3位。
China and Thailand are friendly neighbors. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in July 1975, the volume of bilateral trade has been increasing and come to US$ 6.624 billion by 2000; China has become the important trading partner of Thailand. A new complexion will appear in the trades between them at the beginning of the 21st century; the total volume of trade in 2010 is expected to double that in 2000. The industrial products occupy the leading position in the bilateral trade; China will leap to third place among Thailand抯 foreign trade partners.
