Listening holds the most weight in English acquisition. In order to make the smooth going of listening teaching, for first grade students, teachers should do large preparation before teaching. The preparation work includes：let the students master the correct pronunciation, let the students understand the features of listening materials, let the students know the question types and exam points in listening test, and let the student grasp the techniques of doing listening tests.
