英汉互译中评价意义的再现

Reproduction of Appraisal in E-C / C-E Translation

评价意义是语篇的重要意义之一,译者应该尽量实现评价意义在目的语中的对等传达。本文通过对英汉互译中评价意义的再现进行分析,发现评价意义在英汉互译中既有对等传达,也有偏离,并指出评价意义的对等传达可通过直译、直译加注或意译的方式实现;偏离主要是由源语和目的语本身的语言特点以及文化因素造成的,主要表现为评价意义在译文中的增加或减少。

Appraisal is one of the important aspects of discourse. The translator should try to realize the original appraisal in the target language equivalently. Analysis of the reproduction of appraisal in E-C / C-E translation shows that there are both equivalence and deviation in appraisal in the process of E-C / C-E translation. Equivalence in appraisal can be achieved through literal translation,literal translation with notes or free translation. Deviation in appraisal,i. e. the increase or decrease of appraisal meaning,is mainly rooted in the features of the source language and the target language and in cultural factors.
