摘要
文章采用T单位长度、子句长度、T单位复杂性比率(C/T)、从属子句比率(DC/C)和短语数量为测量指标,通过相关性分析、T检验以及多元回归分析,得出句法复杂性与写作质量相关并对其有预测力。其中,短语数量对写作成绩有明显的预测力。文章提出在英语教学中应加强学生语体意识,恰当运用从句和短语,增加作文结构的多样性。
This study investigates relationships between sentence complexity and writing quality of Chinese university students with indices of T unit,clause length,ratio of clauses to T units(C/T) and ratio of dependent clauses to clauses(DC/C) and reduced structures. The number of phrases has a strong predictive advantage for writing quality. It points out that students' sense of style should be strengthened and they should use subordinate clauses and phrases appropriately with a variety of writing structures.
