The Formation and Origin of the Outstanding Theory and Practice in Tiantai Sect

The stress of both theory and practice is a harmonious blend ascribed to Master Zhi Zhe＇s effort to unify theory prevailing in the south and practice prevailing in the north. The structure of theory and practice in Tiantai Sect is developed by Chinese Mater＇s practice guided by Madhyamaka philosophy from India,and its unique characteristic casted profound influence to Chinese Buddhism.
