摘要
认知语言学家认为隐喻是词汇产生、词义扩展的来源途径。因而在英语词汇教学中,教师应把一定的精力放到为学生讲解词汇的隐喻性质,追本溯源,从而培养学生的隐喻思辨习惯,强化培养学生的隐喻认知能力,进而帮助他们提升词汇的学习效果。
Cognitive linguists believe that metaphor functions as the important means of word production and lexical meaning extension. This paper proposes that teachers should pay more attention to explaining metaphors to students in vocabulary teaching, so as to cultivate student" metaphorical cognition and thus improve the learning effects of vocabulary.
