On the Development Process of Chinese Popular Culture Studies Since the 1990s

上世纪90年代以来大众文化的研究进程可大致分成四阶段。第一阶段是90年代初期对大众文化的批判,第二阶段是90年代中后期对大众文化的反思和语境意识的突显,第三阶段是新世纪以来的众声喧哗和文化研究的兴盛,第四阶段是2010年以来更深入的思考和批评之声的再起。

The development process of popular culture studies since 1990 s can be divided into four stag-es. The first stage is the criticism of the popular culturein the early 90 s. The second stage is the reflection tothe popular culture and the highlighted context awareness in mid and late 90 s. The third stage is the cacophonyand the rise of cultural studies since the 21^th century. The fourth phase is more in-depth thinking and criticismsince 2010.
