2008年新疆伊吾峡沟墓地发掘简报

Preliminary Report on the 2008 Excavation of the Xiagou Cemetery in Yiwu,Xinjiang

2008年,新疆文物考古研究所、西北大学文化遗产学院以及哈密地区文物局联合组成的考古队,抢救性发掘了伊吾县吐葫芦乡峡沟的一处古代墓地,共清理墓葬7座、房址3座。根据墓葬和出土遗物形制特征的初步分析,该墓地属于早期铁器时代。该墓地的发现尤其是积石墓的发掘,为认识东天山北麓古代游牧民族考古学文化面貌及其分布等问题的研究提供了资料。

The archaeological team jointed by the Xinjiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, School of Cultural at Northwestern University and the Institute of Cultural Relics of Hami Region excavated an ancient cemetery at Xiagou in Yiwu County in 2008. A total of seven burials and three house foundations have been excavated. Based on the preliminary analysis of the shape of burials and funeral goods, this article suggests that the cemetery could be dated to the Early Iron Age. This new discovery, especially the excavation of the stone-slab tombs, provides new data for the study of ancient pastoral-nomad archaeological cultures in the northern foothill of the Tianshan mountains and their distributional pattem.
