王莽篡政过程中的西汉宗室王侯

The Imperial Family of the Western Han Dynasty in the Process of Wang Mang's Manipulation

宗室王侯作为西汉统治阶层的重要成员,曾对维护汉政权的稳定起到了重要作用。随着外戚势力的崛起,双方在政坛上展开角逐,他们的关系成为影响西汉中后期政局变化的重要因素。王莽在夺权过程中对刘姓王侯采取了兴灭继绝、经济收买、翦除政敌、军事镇压等手段进行笼络和控制,宗室与王莽的关系也由合作终至依附,但最后仍不免覆灭。分封的王侯与中央政权在政治、经济、文化上的深刻矛盾是造成这一结果的根本原因。

As the important members of the Western Han Dynasty,the imperial family once had played an important role in keeping political stability. With the rising power of the maternal relatives,the two competed in the political arena,and their relationship had become an important factor influencing the political changes in the late Western Han. In the process of seizing power,Wang Mang had carried out some means to capture and control the imperial family,such as reviving the extinguished ones,capturing some with money,getting rid of the political opponent,and military repression. The relationship between the imperial family and Wang Mang were changed from cooperation,to attachment and finally to extinguish. The deep contradictions between the imperial family and the central government in the political,economic and culture were the fundamental reason for this result.
