论牟宗三之“三统”、回应及其脉络

摘要 甲午惨败以及"为什么近代科学只在欧洲文明中发展而未在中国(或印度)文明中成长?"促使上世纪初中国知识分子对以儒家为主流的传统文化存在价值的深刻检讨与反思。在那存亡继绝的时期,新儒家三圣(马一浮、梁漱溟、熊十力)逆潮流反行,毅然挺身而出捍卫孔夫子。由此而开出的以熊十力为领衔,牟宗三、唐君毅等发展的"心性之学",则成为一时之显学。牟宗三之"三统"尤为卓著。 Jiawu fiasco(the Sino-Japanese War of 1894)and Joseph Needham Puzzle "why modern science only originated and developed in European civilization instead of Chinese(or Indian) one?" incurred deep self-criticism and reflection on the value of mainstraim Confucius culture among Chinese intellectuals of early 20 th century.In that crucial period,the new Confucian Trinity(MA Yifu,LIANG Shuming,XIONG Shili) emerged against the maincurrent and bravely defended Confucism."Study of Xin and Xing"(Learning of conscience and nature cultivation)",initiated by XIONG Shili and developed by MU Zongsan and TANG Junyi and so on,became a noted school of thought,MU Zongsan's "Three TONG" being the most distinguished doctrine.
