As a typical feudal fair maiden in the Chinese literary classics of A Dream in Red Mansions, XUE Bao- chai, a female boss of the orthodox Confucianism, is an inevitable outcome of the feudal society. Studies on the ideology and manners indicate the wisdom and charming of the Confucianist contingency ideology in the character of XUE Bao-chai as wll as in the book of A Dream in Red Mansions.
