Based on the comprehensive analysis of the container transportation procedure at Port Metro Vancouver and the related cooperation and coordination among the stakeholders, their negative impacts on the traffic, environment and economy of Port Metro Vancouver and its neighbouring communities were proposed, and the causes of the impacts were systematically analyzed. The policies and countermeasures adopted by Port Metro Vancouver and related enterprises on the problems of the container truck efficiency and the logistic chain planning were described, and learning the best practice and introducing the Canadianinformation technologies to China were discussed.
