Relationship between small intestinal bacterial overgrowth and functional dyspepsia

功能性消化不良(functional dyspepsia,FD)是一种常见的功能性胃肠病(functional gastrointestinal disorders,FGIDs),其发病与胃肠道运动异常、内脏高敏感性相关。小肠细菌过度生长(small intestinal bacterial overgrowth,SIBO)与FD存在症状及发病机制的相似性。目前认为FD与SIBO可能存在相关性,但仍有争议,二者相关性的内在机制尚未完全阐明,SIBO在FD临床诊疗中的角色仍需进一步明确,本文就此作一概述。

Functional dyspepsia（ FD） is one of the common diseases in functional gastrointestinal disorders（ FGIDs）,dysfunctional gastrointestinal motility and hypersensitivity are involved in its pathogenesis. There are some similarities in the manifestation and pathogenesis between small intestinal bacterial overgrowth（ SIBO） and FD. Although it＇s believed that FD may be associated with SIBO,the conclusion remains controversial,and the interactional mechanisms are also confused,the role of SIBO in the clinical management of FD should be further defined. This article reviewed the related studies about the potential mechanisms and clinical significance to state the association between them.
