In the process of the construction of ＂scholarly society＂, university library, being as a basic component sector of higher education institution, has the irreplaceable important function on the cultivation of whole nation＇s reading habits.This paper expounds the reading status of university library, and taking the library of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology as an example, probes into the strategies for university library＇s reading promotion in scholarly society.
