An Exloration on the Mother Right Society in Lingnan before the Song

历史上岭南地区因其地域所限,有着强烈的地域色彩和独特的本土文化。在众多典籍的记载中,宋以前的岭南女性在社会政治、经济和社会生活中占有极为重要的地位,尤其是在岭南社会的早期,有的女性统领一方、左右当地政局,成为影响岭南历史发展的重要人物;有的则拥兵自重,征战杀场,或为护卫百姓力战而亡。在这些女性的的身上充满了雄霸之气,具有典型的母权社会特征。

There is a unique local culture with strong local characteristics in the history of Lingnan area because of its geography. In numerous ancient books, Lingnan women occupied a very important position in social, political, economic and social life before the Song, especially in the early days of the Lingnan society, some women led a place, dominated the local political situation, became important persons who affected the development of Lingnan history; some led troops on the battlefield, or died for escorting people. These women＇s body is full of strength, which has typical characteristics of the mother right society.
