在依法治国进程中,加强现代公民教育显得至关重要。而中国传统文化在整体利益与个体利益、责任义务与权利自由、道德自律与法治立国等方面,与现代公民教育有着诸多契合点。因此,可通过把握好价值导向、弘扬爱国主义精神、营造良好的法制环境、重塑道德精神等方面来实现传统文化的现代化转化,培育出现代法治社会所需要的合格公民。

It is very important to strengthen civic education in the process of law-based governance. Chinese cultural tradition has many integrating points with modern civic education in such aspects as overall and individual benefits, responsible obligations and rights freedom, as well as moral self-discipline and law-ruled governance. Qualified citizens can be nurtured for the modem society with rule of law through the following ways： keeping the value orientation; carrying forward patriotism; creating a good law-ruled enviromnent; remodeling morals; and realizing the modern transfornlation of traditional culture.
