Chen Yun laid high emphasis on methodology in his leadership in china revolution and socialism construction and reform. It is specifically reflected in his leadership methodology combined both "walking with measured treads" and "wading across the river by feeling the stones". Re-studying and understanding the methodology of Chenyun is of highly importance and realistic meaning to our current reform and openness causes. Walking with measured treads specifically means that we need to consider carefully those general, basic, prospective and oriental strategic issues in our practice in china revolution, socialistic construction and reform. Besides walking with measured treads, Chen Yun also promoted the methodology of wading across the river by feeling the stones. It means to improve our practice based on reliable experiment and summarized experience. This methodology combined both "walking with measured treads" and "wading across the river by feeling the stones" is of important historical values and significant realistic value.Firstly it enriches and develops Marxist methodology; secondly, this methodology is the one that brings the success of Chinese Road into realization from historical practice; thirdly, we need to adhere to and develop this methodology to push new reform and openness from realistic development perspective. Strengthening top design and wading across the river by feeling the stones put forward by President Xi is the further enriching and development of Chen Yun's methodology.
