摘要
《玻璃城》是一篇典型的后现代侦探小说,其作者保罗·奥斯特在创作这部作品时运用了大量的元叙事技巧,将作者现身、矛盾开放、任意时空等方法结合起来,使其不同于传统的侦探小说模式。其中互文和多重构架的运用,使侦探罪案小说具有了更深刻的哲学内涵。通过这两种元叙事技巧的运用,作者充分描绘了现代人迷茫的生活状态,以及由于迷失自我而产生的困惑。从元叙事出发可以更好地探讨奥斯特的创作意图及这两种技巧在文本中的功能。
City of Glass is a typical post- modern detective novel. When creating this work,Paul Auster used many meta narrative techniques,such as appearance of the author,contraction,random space and time which makes his novel different from traditional detective novel and have a more profound philosophical connotation. Using two outstanding writing skills,parody and multiple frames,the author could better describe the confused state of modern people,which is losing their souls. From the perspective of meta- narrative,this article explores Oster’s creative intent and function of these two techniques in text.
