Analysis on the Reason of Cracking in the Side Bend Specimen of Overlaying Welded Layer Used by E309LT1-1 Stainless Steel Flux Cored Wires

摘要 E309LT1-1不锈钢药芯焊丝堆焊层侧弯试样在弯曲时有时会出现开裂现象。利用低倍检测、扫描电镜能谱分析和金相显微镜,对金相试样的横切面进行观察和分析,结果表明,开裂现象与过渡层出现的M23C6相有关。利用Thermal-Calc软件进行模拟得出,影响M23C6相出现的主要原因是碳含量较高,通过控制过渡层熔敷金属中的碳含量可以消除M23C6相的出现,从而使侧弯性能合格。 Cracking sometimes occurred in the side bend specimen of overlaying welded layer used by E309LTI-1 stainless steel flux cored wires during bending. The transverse section of metallographic specimen is observed and ana- lyzed by macroscopic test, SEM-EDS and metallographic microscope. The result shows that the phenomenon of cracking is related to M23 C6 in transition layer. The Thermal-Calc software is used to simulate and find that the higher content of carbon is the main reason to create M23C6 phase, and M23C6 phase can be eliminated by controlling the content of carbon in deposited metal of transition layer in order to qualify the lateral bending performance.
