The fault recording device is to record the fault-related electrical and switch parameter values when a fault or failure occurs in electrical equipment or system,which then can be used to diagnose the fault distance,provide references for the fault analysis,speed up the fault treatment,and eventually ensure the safe operation of the equipment or system. The configuration and functions of the fault recording system is introduced. With the discussion of several practical cases,the fault diagnose procedure and method based on the recording data are demonstrated.
