聚合物稳定蓝相液晶用单体研究进展 被引量:1

摘要 聚合物稳定蓝相液晶(PS-BPLC)由于其具有相对宽的温域,亚毫秒的灰度响应速率,并且无需取向层等特点在平面显示和光学方面引起越来越多的关注。本文简要回顾了目前应用在聚合稳定蓝相液晶方面的聚合物单体的发展情况,主要从单体结构,单体的浓度,交联剂的使用这3个方面研究了这些因素对聚合物稳定蓝相的性能影响。其中对单体结构的影响进行了更为详细的讨论,包括特殊基团如氟原子、手性中心的引入,端烯的甲基化等因素对聚合物稳定蓝相液晶在驱动电压、迟滞效应和响应时间等性能的影响。并在此基础上,对聚合物稳定蓝相液晶所用单体的结构设计提出新的构想。 Polymer stabilized blue phase liquid crystals(PS-BPLC)have attracted a considerable amount of attention because of their application to information display and photonic technology.PSBPLC exhibit several attractive features,such as reasonably wide temperature range,sub-millisecond gray-to-gray response time,no need for alignment layer,and optically isotropic voltage-off state.After reviewing recent progress in monomers stabilizing blue phases,we describe their electro-optical performance.Molecular structure of monomers,the concentration of monomers,use of cross-linker and their influence on PS-BPLC were the main topics of this review.A more detailed discussion was emphasized on the influence of varied structure in the monomers including the introduction of fluorine atoms,chiral center and methylation of end-alkene.Furthermore,some advanced concepts in material design for PS-BPLC were presented.
