Research progresses in catalysts for hydrochlorination of acetylene were reviewed. The la- boratory research progress of ultra-low mercury catalyst was introduced in detail as well as the data ob- tained from industrial sidehne single-tube experiments. Future developments of the ultra-low mercury cat- alyst was prospected.
