运用Stata11.0软件进行Meta分析。 Objective To systematically review the association between Vitamin A and Alzheimer disease (AD). Methods Case--control studies on the association between Vitamin A and AD were searched through PubMed, EMBase, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure database (CNKI), Wanfang and VIP databases. All the articles were published until March 2015. Two reviewers independ- ently screened potentially relevant articles according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Stata 11.0 software was performed in this meta--analysis. Results In total, 8 studies with 947 participants met the eligibility criteria, which included 290 AD patients and 657 controls. The result of meta--analysis showed that the level of Vitamin A in subjects with AD was lower than controls (WMD =-0. 333,95%CI =-0. 544---0. 122, P 〈0.05). Egger's test showed there was no published bias. Trim and filling method revealed that the result was robust. Conclusions Lack of Vitamin A may be a risk factor for AD.
