A Relevance-Theoretic Analysis to Metonymy:An Issue of Pragmatic Interpretation

认知语言学从概念结构的角度研究转喻,对其概念化本质和指称功能做出了比较系统的描述和解读。文章在关联理论的指导下,以语言形式和关联性之间的内在关系为基础,从认知语用视角探讨动态语境中转喻的语用特征和推理过程,揭示言语交际过程中转喻的关联阐释及其体现的创造性。

In the framework of cognitive linguistics,metonymy is explored with regard to conceptual structure. The conceptualized nature and referential function are described and explained systematically. With relevance theory,the pragmatic features and the process of inference of metonymy in the dynamic contexts are analyzed from a cognitive pragmatic view,based on the interior relation between language form and relevance. It aims to reveal the relevant interpretation in verbal communication and the creativity it presents.
