新闻检查制度是指新闻报刊包括图书受到政府部门审查的制度。民国初期,由于政权更迭频繁,报业检查制度的建立几经反复。自从国民党执掌全国大权之后,其借助于国内不同时期的局势变化,逐渐建立起了较为完备的新闻检查制度。与此同时,由于贵州现代报业发展环境的相对稳定性,在检索机构检索标准和检查办法等方面,可以说是民国新闻检查制度比较典型的表现。

News censorship system is a system which the news, newspaper and books need to be censored by the government department. In republican period, the establishment of newspaper check system has experienced a long period of repetition because of the frequent changing regime. Since the KMT is at the helm of the national power, the relatively complete news censorship system is established. At that time, the relative stability of modern newspaper industry development environment in Guizhou and advantages of retrieval search criteria and checking methods make it become the typical representation of news censorship system in republican neriod.
