美华书馆与晚清汉语方言文献出版研究

美华书馆是近代中国较重要的以出版和发行为一体的教会出版机构之一。该书馆为了传教之需,除了出版宗教书籍外,还刊行了一些英汉双语词典、汉语方言语音及语法等方面著作。这些著作为当今的中外学者对译名的统一、专科词语的校对以及词典的编纂提供了很重要依据。美华书馆在很大程度上传播了中国语言文化,对近代中国图书出版业的崛起以及汉语方言文化的传播起了很关键的作用。

The American Presbyterian Mission Press was one of the most important publishing, distribution and printing institutions in Modern China. In addition to religion and science works, the American Presbyterian Mission Press also published quite a lot of Chinese dialect works for missionary, such as Chinese-English and English-Chinese bilingual dictionaries, and dialect pronunciation and dialect grammar books. These works were important for the dissemination of the Chinese dialect culture and the effect on later generations to the study of the Chinese dialects could not be replaced.
