摘要
以一种片层状的有机蒙脱土作为改性剂,通过悬浮聚合法制备了毫米级的非球形聚苯乙烯粒子.利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、X射线衍射(XRD)分析了蒙脱土的片层状结构,通过X射线能谱(EDS)和SEM表征了蒙脱土在聚苯乙烯粒子中的分布情况.考察了悬浮聚合中不同的蒙脱土含量、油水比及分散剂含量对产物粒子形态的影响,并分析了非球形粒子的形成机理.结果表明:随着蒙脱土含量的增加,产物粒子由椭球形向梭形转变;随着油水比的增大,产物由梭形变为盘状;当分散剂含量提高到一定值时,产物将由非球形向球形转变.
Millimeter-sized nonspherical polystyrene particles were synthesized by using a type of lamelliform or- ganic montmorillonite as modifier in suspension polymerization. The structure of montmorillonite was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The distribution of montmorillonite in polysty- rene particles was investigated by energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS)and SEM. Effects of the content of mont- morillonite, mass ratio of oil to water and dosage of dispersing agent on the morphology of the particles were dis- cussed, and the particle formation mechanism was also analyzed. The results show that the particles shift from ellip- soid to spindle with the increase of montmorillonite content; the spindle-shaped particles flatten into dish-like ones with increasing mass ratio of oil to water; when the dosage of dispersing agent is raised to a certain amount, nonspherical particles transform into spherical ones.
