摘要
本文以热门美剧《初来乍到》为研究对象,通过分析小说作者及剧中人物的成长经历,旨在探析美国多元文化下移民华裔的社会生存现状,最终得出:华裔在美国社会依然遭受文化冲突和种族偏见,华裔"美国梦"的核心是在积极融入主流社会的同时,也竭力保持自己的民族特色。
This essay focuses on the popular American TV series,Fresh off the Boat,and analyzes the life experience of the original writer and the characters in TV in an attempt to discover the living reality of Chinese Americans under the diversified cultures in America.Finally,the author draws the conclusion that Chinese Americans still suffer cultural shocks and prejudice,and the essence of American Dream for them is to engage in American main society and also maintain their ethnic features.
