《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》是马克·吐温作品中最成功的一部,讲述了哈克帮助逃奴吉姆经历一系列的奇遇之后获得自由的历险故事。小说中"道路式""河岸式"和"宗教式"三种不同类型的空间意象的刻画,起到了塑造人物形象、展现故事主题、推动情节发展、深化小说叙事意蕴的作用,向读者呈现了儿童世界的纯真与善良和成人世界的丑陋与虚伪,抨击了美国资本主义社会中人与人之间赤裸裸的金钱关系和残酷的蓄奴制。对这部小说中的空间意象进行分析不仅能丰富这部小说的阐释空间,而且能拓展学界对这部小说的研究视角。

As a giant in American literature,Mark Twain wrote a lot of famous works in his life,but The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was the most successful of all the works. It narrates a story of Huck＇s pursuit for the exciting and adventurous life by helping a runaway slave Jim on the journey down the Mississippi River. The spatial images in the novel can be categorized into three major types： road,river and religion. Different types of images play a crucial role in shaping characters,revealing the theme,developing plots and deepening narration by contrasting the childlike innocence and adult world＇s hypocrisy and reflecting evil and brutal civilization. This paper attempts to explore the narrative function of the spatial images to expand the depth of the research and enrich the meaning of the novel.
