摘要
在1978年12月第九次国际相对论天体物理会议上,美国的J.H.Taylor报告了他们通过对致密双星PSR1913+16连续四年的观测,间接验证了引力辐射的存在。这是世界上对爱因斯坦广义相对论重力辐射理论的首次实验验证,引起了各国科学界的重视。但他们计算的过程一直未见发表。
Recently, J.H.Taylor et al.had published their four years observations on PSR1913+16, and verified the existence of gravitational radiation indire- ctly. In this paper, from the weak field approximation, we derived a formula for the time rate variation of the period of PSR1913+16 T_b=(-96)/5 (G^3)/(C^5) (T_bM_pM_c^5)/(a_2~4(m_p+m_c)~3)·(1+(73)/(24)e^2+(370/(96)e^4)/((1-e^2)^(712))=-4.1×10^(-12)(ss^(-1)) Which is very nearly the same as the observed value T_b=(-3.2±0.6)×10^(12)(ss^(-1))
