Taking the situation of the entrance education for freshmen carried out in ten universities（including independent colleges）in Guilin City in 2015 as an example, this paper expounds the importance and necessity of carrying out the entrance education for freshmen, analyzes the current status and shortcomings of university library＇s entrance education for freshmen, and probes into the innovation of the pattern of the entrance education for freshmen.
