处理电子邮件对于高度国际化的学术期刊编辑部十分重要。结合Food Bioscience现状,从编辑部内部的常规工作,以及编辑部与作者、评阅人、出版社联系的各个环节出发,详述了电子邮件在国际化编辑部工作中发挥的作用,探讨了编辑在处理电子邮件时应持有的态度和应具备的素质,列举了几类典型的电子邮件处理方式,并提出了处理电子邮件的一些建议和意见。在学术期刊国际化的背景下,只有认真细致地处理好电子邮件,才能更好地促进期刊的长远发展。

Electronic mail processing is very important for editorial offices running highly internationalized academic journals.Taking the editorial office of Food Bioscience as an example,detailed importance of electronic mail processing waspointed out.Electronic mail is quite useful for every aspect of the editorial work,including editors’ daily editing work andcommunications among authors,editors,board members,reviewers and colleagues in the publishing house.In thispaper,positive attitudes and basic qualities which an editor should possess when processing electronic mails werediscussed.Methods of dealing with some typical electronic mails were introduced.Meanwhile,some opinions and suggestionsfor electronic mail handling were listed for other editors’ reference.It points out that during the internationalizationprocess of academic journals,electronic mails must be carefully and earnestly handled,so that the journals may have along-term success.
