Study on the Relativity between Treasures and Animals in Asian Treasure Folktales

在亚洲,民间宝物故事是很常见的一类故事。在这类故事中,宝物的获取与动物密切相关:人类直接从动物处得到宝物;动物充当帮助者,使主人公得到宝物;动物本身就是宝物(宝动物)。在对宝物的获取与动物相关性分析的基础上,发现这些宝物幻想方式中所体现的民众心理以及人类对自然界的态度,这可以揭示民间宝物故事对我们的更深层的精神启悟,并使我们得以反观人类在自然界中的定位。

This paper probes into the treasure folktales which are very popular in Asian folk literature. The treasures acquisition is closely related with animals in such folktales as the treasures are acquired directly from animals; the treasures are acquired with the help of the animals; the animals themselves are treasures(treasure animals). On the basis of the treasure acquisition and the correlation analysis of animals, the populace psychology embodied in the way of fantasy to discover the treasures and the attitudes to the nature from humans. This phenomennon discloses a deep-seated mental enlightenment adapted from treasure folktales and makes us reflect the orientation of human beings in the world of nature.
