新生代农民工是我国城市化中的主要劳动力,他们呈现出与第一代农民工完全不同的特征。这一群体在教育、劳动、社交、文化等方面存在诸多城市化需求,但由于城市资源的有限性和排他性,新生代农民工的诸多需求与城市的提供能力间存在较大落差。因此,新生代农民工在一定环境诱因下走上了犯罪道路,城市化需求受阻成为新生代农民工犯罪的重要成因。预防新生代农民工犯罪行为的发生,须要重视教育功能,完善管理体制,塑造他们的正面形象、加强他们的社交圈,丰富文化产品,以满足他们的上述多种需求。

The new generation of migrant workers is the main labor force in our country. They demonstrate the characteristics completely different from the first generation of migrant workers. This group has many urbanization needs in such aspects as education, labour, social intercourse and culture. Neverthless, it is a huge gap between the needs of the new generation of migrant workers and the supply capacity of cities due to the finiteness and exclusiveness of the city resources. Therefore, the new generation of migrant workers commit crimes under the certain circumstances. The frustration of urbanization demands becomes the important causes of migrant workers crime. In order to prevent the crime of the new generation of migrant workers, we have to attach importance to the educational function, improve the management system, shape their positive images, reinforce their social circles and enrich the cultural products to meet the above needs of the new generation of migrant workers.
