The Brief Chronicle of Yu Yunwen

俞允文,明代嘉靖时期文学家、书法家。善诗文,好为古文辞。交游广泛,与王世贞、徐中行等"后七子"成员往来唱和,吟诗论文,致力于复古文学运动。王世贞列其为嘉靖"广五子"之首,汪道昆称其为"布衣之冠"。本谱整理了俞允文一生的主要活动,以呈现其生平风貌。

Yu yunwen,a writer and calligrapher in Jiajing period of the Ming dynasty,was very good at writing poems and articles with ancient Chinese language. He made a lot of friends and devoted to the Movement of Retro Literature with the members of the Later Seven Poets such as Wang shizhen and Xu zhongxing. He was named the top one of the other group of five poets by Wang shizhen and the top one of the common poets by Wang daokun,and the chronological main events of Yu show his lifetime.
