Contextual Narrative in the Study of Engineering Ethics:Expression of Responsibility and Its Rediscovery

摘要 工程伦理的核心是如何践履"我"对"你""它"不同层次的责任,实现"我""我-你"和"我-它"关系的平衡。在工程伦理研究的场景叙事中,自我责任("我"与自身)彰显出道德成为自我的存在方式,要求"我"必须对自己的行为负责。切近责任("我-你")关怀了"我"与"你"的相遇,承认与肯定"你"的尊严,揭示出通过联系而产生的"我"对自然、社会和他人关怀与责任的可能性,即形成并发展与"你"的超出互惠的关系。超出切近的责任("我-它")即是承认并尊重"它"的独一无二和完整性并对其负责,把"我-你"的关系模式拓展到"我-它"之间。当不同层次的责任冲突导致工程实践的道德困境时,场景叙事以"虚构"或"想象"的方式讲述"我""在场"的时间维度和生活体验,帮助我们身临其境地了解道德判断和行为选择的心理基础与运行机制,理解工程实践出现的多种可能情境,这为发现"我"的存在所蕴藏的他者维度,实现"我""我-你"和"我-它"关系平衡并在寻求平衡中践履不同层次的责任提供了现实思考方法。 Engineering ethics is the core to the fulfillment “You” and “It”, and to the achievement the balance of different -levelled responsibility of “I” to of the relationship between “I”, and “You - I” relationship and “It -I” relationship. In the contextual narrative of the engineering ethics study, self responsibility (“I” and self) demonstrates the moral self existence, and requires that “I” must be responsible for their actions. The proximate responsibility in “You -I” relationship cares about the encountering of “I” and “You”, acknowledges and affirms “Your” dignity, revealing the possibility that “I”, produced through contacting, must be responsible for and care about nature, society and the other, meaning the formation and development of super -relationship with “You” The “ You -I” relationship is far from mutual benefit. Beyond the proximate responsibility in “You- I” relationship is the “It- I” relationship in which the uniqueness and integrity of “It” are acknowledged and respected and therefore “I” have to be responsible for “It”. It is obviously the expansion of the “I -You” relationship model to the “I -It” relationship. When different levels of responsibility for the conflict lead to ethical dilemmas in engineering practice, the contextual narrative “fiction” or “imagination” about the dimension of time and life experience of “Itn present” helps us personally understand moral judgment and psychological basis and operation mechanism of behavior choice, understand engineering practice through a variety of possible scenarios. This provides practical thinking method for us to discover the multi - dimension of the otherness hidden in “I”, to achieve a balance between “I”, “You -I” relationship and “It - I” relationship and to fulfill its hierarchical multiple responsibilities in the search for the balance.
