On Huanzhu Louzhu's New Novels Written between 1949and 1951

自新中国成立前后到1951年,还珠楼主创作和出版了一批武侠小说。关于此时的写作立场,他发表了《从新写起》等表态性文字,显现出他对时代精神主动学习与积极靠拢的姿态。他此时期的作品如《力》《独手丐》等小说,通过特别的情节设置和语言表达,尝试对新时代的价值观进行较为充分的文学表现。然而,作为类型小说,他的这些作品无法摆脱固有的写作模式。当社会文化环境较为宽松时,他能够获得较大的写作空间;当环境逐步变得紧张时,他作为武侠小说代表作家,就不可避免地要面对批评和否定。从中国现代武侠小说史的角度来观察,可以看出"从新写起"的价值与意义。

From 1949 to 1951,Mr.Huanzhu Louzhu wrote a number of martial arts novels.He wrote some important articles,just like Writing from A New Start,to explain his creative standpoint.These words reflected his active learning and closer moving to zeitgeist.He tried to fully demonstrate the value of the new era by his specific works such as Force and some other novels.However,as genre novels,his books cannot avoid the fixed writing mode.When the social cultural environment is relaxed,he was able to obtain larger space for writing.But when cultural context becomes more intense,as a martial arts novel writer,he had to accept criticism and negation from administrators and critics.From the perspective of the history of modern Chinese martial arts novels,we can find the value and importance of this kind of writing.
