As a representative novel of Hemingway,The Old Man and the Sea embodies the novel art of the peak period of Hemingway’s literature. Studying the character and narrative of The Old Man and the Sea would be having contemporary significance for the study of the European and American literature. In this paper,through analyzing the story,around the hero Santiago’s heart activity,emotional line,it focuses on the hero’s image in multiple interpretations.
